Files and Folders 2

So I mentioned with the last post that I save scene components like bodies or weapons as a 'scene subset', so I can quickly load them into another render for continuity purposes.

This example, from my Triptychs set, shows how that applies to a photo-story.

If you look at the file browser on the far left, you can see all the sub-folders I use to organise my work (more on those another time), but the one I want to show you is the 'continuity' folder. Basically, because I have so many renders to work with, temporary files like these need their own folder.

If you look at the thumbnails, you can see loads of scene subsets (they have a green 'set' label) for different stages of the story, all with figures that I want to load into another render so that they're seen from another perspective.

As an example, I've loaded 'back gate_1' into the render window. Here's two of the characters; Faye and Isla, seen entering the courtyard through the rear left gate. You'll see Faye close-up in Triptych 2_1, which is where I saved these figures from. However, if you look at T1_2 (posted this month), you'll notice Faye and Isla are in the background to the left of Cassie, both running forwards.

To make sure I got them in the right position, I loaded these figures into Cassie's scene, then moved them slightly closer and put them into different poses: Faye shooting, while Isla bounds forwards. In Cassie's third and final picture (T1_3) you can see Faye's legs and heels as she runs further into the open too.
