Maeve Connolly

In my mind, most of the characters in my TF sequences sort of “settle down” after their transformation. They go back to a mostly human form, but with traces of their monstrous self remaining. Depending on the character, they can then choose to go through that transformation again if they need or want to.

Maeve would hold on to more of her monstrous appearance than most. In her eyes, her Horned Red Wolf form is her true self. This smaller body is a form she takes on out of convenience and necessity.  Even though she’d always rather be full monster, she’s still far happier in this body than she was as an unaltered human.

She also features a trait that's common to all of Vara's Culminants. It might be tough to see in this image (full resolution attached below!) but there is a thin ring of red light encircling her irises. This red line expands inward as she transforms, until her eyes are bright glowing red all the way through. In her more human-like form it's much less visible.

For sure. I’ve definitely imagined a scene where Vara and Maeve are blending in at some formal diplomatic function, and Maeve is asking her “how long do I have to keep up this disguise? Being human again feels so stifling.”

Thank you so much! Welcome aboard, it’s awesome of you to support my art.

Once more, I couldn't have said it better than vanquishedValiant here. I too, love the idea of her transformation being her true self and that now, even in her "normal" form, she still have demonic features. But there's something else I really would enjoy and it's that she could get back to her former human self, maybe a little enhanced, to fit in the 'normal' world, to be able to lure others into her charms and offer them the same awakening she went through. Of course, in my perfect world, arousal, would makes it really hard for her to contain her true form. Mmmmmh! What I would give to meet Maeve or Vara in real life! :-)

This one sold me on the patreon sub. love what you're doing here.

Oh wow, that‘s amazing! We have pretty similar tastes, she definitely seems like something that’d fit in my weird monster world haha. I haven’t had the opportunity to play in many superhero RPGs, but that sounds fantastic.

It makes my very happy to hear she's found herself~ That's such a core appeal of transformation to me, the sense of becoming your inner self on the outside. No small part contributed to by trans moods, haha. But monsters... delightful.^_^ The DND game was actually a pseudo-homebrewed oldschool DC Heroes superhero game, and her powers were a mix of animal mimicry, multilimbs, regeneration, etc. She was called the "Kaiju-Queen" and she was basically a captain-america super soldier gone wrong whose powers instead of making her super strong gave her the ability to freely transform and mutate her body rapidly, so she would frequently shift between forms and adapt traits to fit the situation. Sort of like a cross between like a Venom and The Thing but as a cheerful hero! Her usual form was very similar to Maeve's though, a sort of multiarmed, horn and quill covered demonic wolf beast. Emphasis on the extra limbs, and like, split second transformations to shift them around herself to grapple during fights. Maeve's appearance here is so close to her casual half-human style that if the game hadn't finished I might have been tempted to ask to faceclaim her lol.

Thanks! For me, part of the story of Devotion’s Reward is that Maeve always felt something was wrong in her human body. With Vara’s help, she finally manifested the version of herself she always was on the inside. I’m curious about your D&D character! Assuming this is 5e, was this a wildshaping Druid, a lycan bloodhunter, an Eberron-style shifter, or something else?

Continuing to love all this lore and mechanics for Vara's Culminants. Maeve is a cutie and this halfway form is fantastic! The idea of her transformation being her true self and this being a compromise is wonderful~ I recently played a DND character who had a similar opinion on her transformations, where she loved the freedom of being a monster and really only took more human shapes for convenience, so needless to say im 10000% on board for this.
