Happy October! 🍂 + updated list of my favorite brushes ✏️✨

Hello guys! 🥰 Welcome to a brand new month! 🍁

I can’t believe we’re in October already!! It feels like we got here so quickly, but this is one of my favorite months of the year 🧡 I always feel so much more inspired during this time and I think it’s because October is when I first started my digital art journey 4 years ago, which was a really new & exciting phase for me! I also love how there are lots of special art challenges throughout this month, so it just feels like it’s a time for artists 🥰

I wanted to start the month with a new & updated list of my current favorite brushes since it’s been a long time since my last update and I’ve added several new ones! I used to be the type of artist who felt intimidated at the thought of using more than just one or two brushes on a drawing, but over time I’ve been learning how to use several to achieve a certain look that I want, and these ones are definitely my current favorites 🥰 

There are quite a few that are from various brush packs (which can be expensive, I think the Maxpacks are about $20 per pack) so I actually only bought one brush pack at a time over the course of 2 years haha but I actually think it’s a good idea to invest in one brush pack at a time and get to know the brushes in that pack for a while 😌 It allows you to study them and discover the ones that you like the best for your workflow!

I hope this is helpful for you guys, especially if you aren’t sure what kinds of brushes to use yet! I think it’s always good to use brushes that offer you a balance of smoothness and texture, which is what I really like about these ones :)
