Happy May! 🌷 Drawing Fae Characters + Favorite Books from April! 🧚💗📚

Happy May everyone! 😍 I can’t believe April is already over!! 🙈

I wanted to start off the new month showing you a sneak-peek of some fae characters I finished :) Each drawing is from our newest tutorial about how to draw faces! I wanted to render a few of them and ended up adding pointed ears, so they turned out being inspired by the faerie books I’ve read 🥰 I’ll be sharing the procreate timelapse with you guys soon! :)

Since lots of you guys enjoy reading, I also wanted to share my favorite books from April! 🌷

I read maybe 10 books per month (most of them on my kindle hehe) and these were my favorites! Tales of the Celestial Kingdom was actually sent to me as a gift from the author after I painted one of her characters (I filmed a video about it here!) and the book was signed too! 🥲💗

The book comes after the first two in her series Daughter of the Moon Goddess, which I LOVED and highly recommend! 🫶🏻 The books are so beautifully written it feels like looking at a painting while you read ✨

I also read Magnolia Parks on my kindle, and that book consumed me lol it was so addictive! 🫠 If you like lots of drama, stories taking place in wealthy London, romance and characters that make you laugh, you will love it!! 💗

Finally, I read the Woven Kingdom trilogy and omg… I think it’s now one of my favorite book series of all time 😭 Beautiful prose, magic, romance, strong female leads, funny characters, heartbreaking plot twists — just chefs kiss 🤌🏼 And the fact that it’s basically the Cinderella story blended with Persian mythology was so unique and refreshing 😍
