Hey everyone! Here is the sketch you saw yesterday with all my base shades and shadows, right before I’m about to start adding highlights and more colors.
Tip: When I am trying to make a drawing that radiates warmth, I avoid using black, gray, or any cool color for my sketch layer. Instead, I use a mix of brown, red, and orange. When it comes to shading colors and tones on top, I only use my most saturated colors (like red) on a couple choice areas, like the elbow, the tip of the ear, and the nose/cheeks, to create emphasis. It also kind of visually describes that there is blood in those areas and makes the skin look alive rather than “dead.” The rest is a mix of neutral tones like yellowish orange.
It’s also Feature Friday, which means I get to give you guys some recognition!! 💖 Comment or message me if you would like a feature of your art tonight on my story 🤗
Happy Friday!! ☀️✨
