How to Create a Color Palette!

I'm so excited to be sharing my very first color tutorial with you all!! :) In this video I talk about a couple techniques you can use to create a unique color palette, and I've found that these techniques actually help me a lot whenever I'm in an art block. You'll also get to see my painting process on my newest piece which I won't post anywhere else! And at the end of the video I also show you guys how I created the pretty leaf effects in my character's hair and some tips on how to make them look realistic :) I hope you guys enjoy watching and find something useful for your own work!
Brushes I used:
- Dry Ink (good for hair strands & details)
- Acrylic Brush (blocking colors & shapes)
- Round Brush (soft shading in the skin)
- Brush Pen (hatching in background & hair detail)
- Soft Airbrush (used in overlay & color dodge layers for softness)
