Process Video! | #DTIYS Piece ✏️💖

Happy Thursday everyone! I hope you're all having a lovely day so far 😊✨

Here is the full process video of my newest drawing for you guys! I decided to participate in @kurayami_reiji's #drawthisinyourstyle challenge on Instagram and I had so much fun with the magical theme. It felt like I was drawing a fairy! ✨ I hope you all enjoy watching the process for this piece; it's one of the few drawings I've made that doesn't change direction dozens of times in the process and because of this I managed to finish the drawing in one day! I love it when all the colors and shapes fall into place so naturally 💖

Tip: For the radiating blue glow in her hair, I put down some simple base colors on top of my sketch and then I merged all the layers into one. Once I did that, I selected her hair with the feather lasso tool, went into Color Balance, and adjusted the colors in the blue spectrum. Go watch my tutorial on "Color Feathering" to see exactly how it works! It's a great technique for unifying all your colors and even correcting colors that you dislike in your painting 💖 For photoshop users, instead of color balance it's called selective color.
