Here is another patron portrait, and one of the rare cases where I draw a male! I do feel a lot more challenged whenever I'm commissioned to draw males, for some reason they don't come as naturally to me; but I always look forward to the challenge and any small improvements that come with it! π I've attached the original selfie so you guys can see the reference I used π
Also: I just posted this month's Video Critique for all Devoted Dragonflies ($10 tier)! For those of you who are new patrons or aren't sure what I do in video critiques, basically patrons can send me an artwork that they're struggling with and I offer tips and suggestions on what the artist can do to improve their work! This usually involves a draw-over where I make adjustments/tweaks in color, form, composition, etc. to illustrate what the artist could do differently. Devoted Dragonflies also get access to all other video critiques I've created π
In other news, it's almost Halloween!!! I'm recording the Inktober Sketchbook Tour tonight and will be posting it tomorrow, I can't wait to share it with you guys! π
