Feature Friday + Sneak Peak! βœοΈπŸ’–

Happy Friday lovelies! I hope you all had an amazing week and enjoyed your New Years celebrations! 😊✨

Here is a sneak-peak of a watercolor piece I finished! You may have seen some process work of this one on my insta story yesterday 😌 I'm making it a goal this year to expand my creative range and work on some more traditional art, so you'll be seeing more stuff like this in the days to come! I'm excited about it because now that I have a new camera, I can make traditional art tutorials if you guys ever want those πŸ˜ŠπŸ’–

✨January Tutorial: Speaking of tutorials, what kind of tutorial would you guys be interested in seeing this month? Give me some suggestions in the comments! I'll be taking everyone's suggestions and create a poll for us to vote on ✨ It can be any topic and focus on traditional, digital, or whatever you're curious about :) I'm excited!!

πŸ’›Feature Friday: It's also the first Feature Friday of the month!! Comment your username below if you would like to have some support and get your work shared on my story over this weekend :) I start the shares on Saturday and try to do some on Sunday as well for any latecomers!

Remember to check my last post to see the rewards list for January if you haven't yet and read about some extra fun info πŸ’–

Love,

Lydia ~

It’s amazing how your style and strokes are consistent from digital to traditional! So amazing and beautiful! Hope im not too late @libbeliz πŸ’œ

You are amazing

Isabelle Algrin

This makes me wanna learn to do watercolors so badly! It looks beautiful ❀️ One of my goals this year has to do with traditional art too, although I'm just thinking of getting a sketchbook to start and not draw everything digitally. Btw, I completely support the tutorial ideas that someone already said about facial features and proportions or movement in a piece, I think they would be super helpful! Hope you have a nice day 😊 @juan.guillenn

Omg that’s awesome!! πŸ’– Welcome πŸ˜„

Baha aww that’s so sweet! πŸ’– I did so much watercolor in the past and then just dropped it, but I’m really happy to be experimenting with it again! I love this tutorial idea as well, I think it would be sooo cool to create a watercolor tutorial! 😍

Lydia Elaine

Aw thank you so much!! That means a lot! πŸ’›βœ¨

Lydia Elaine

Aw thanks Ana! I would love to see some watercolor work by you 😍 And I can absolutely share your forest fairy! πŸ’– the algorithm has been so annoying lately 😭

Lydia Elaine

No worries! πŸ’› I posted the time lapse on my instagram with the painting if you wanna check it out! ☺️

Lydia Elaine

Aww thank you Fay!! πŸ’› The only video I got was the time lapse and it’s posted on my instagram with the painting! In the future I definitely want to film an actual process video of my watercolor process, I’m thinking of doing that this month with another piece! 😌

I loved watching your video on this progress! I'm just now trying to learn watercolor and how smooth you are with it is super inspiring! I second the idea for a tutorial about how you piece together references to create a pose. ❀ @rae.mack.art

Rae Kuhn

I would love to see a tutorial on how to study or how you break down reference poses. @twisteharts

Your watercolor technique is super good! This might seem stalky but your previous watercolor pieces are just AMAZING!!! Can't wait to see more ❀️ next tutorial could be on how to think light on watercolor, since you cannot add it later you have to know where the light has to be. So that's my idea. @sophie_artt

I love how you’re expanding your creative range this year Lydia!! I’m definitely rooting for you the entire way 😊 this is incredible! @doodspls

Beautiful watercolor piece! I haven't touched watercolor for so long, but seeing you yesterday I might try it soon :-) @madebyinkyjar Thank you for sharing our work! If I may ask - could you share my forest fairy character (full body post)? It seems it didn't reach a lot of people :-(

Ana Marija

Ahh the watercolour piece turned out so beautiful! I just finished a digital piece myself so itching to pick up a brush again :) For tutorials I second something on painting skin or facial feature placement/proportions, perhaps combined with how to create depth in the face so they don't look flat. But honestly, I'm happy with any topic! @shindo3art

Amazing watercolor!!!! Can't wait to see all the new content in January! @duendeartist

Love your traditional art! For a tutorial I would love to see one on facial features/proportions, or how to give movement to a piece so they don’t look stiff!! Insta is @blackxcatco

Janaye

Also, a tutorial on portraits (skin and eyes especially, maybe how to even guve them some movement for a more interesting portrait) would be awesome! Not sure if you did that in the past and I just missed it, but if not, a tutorial on that would be cool

mlara_artescape

This piece looks amazing :O sadly I missed the insta stories. @visualmeri

Awesome watercolor! ❀️ can’t wait to see more! @mlara_artescape

I saw this on your stories and thought it was SO BEAUTIFUL! Will there be a video of this process? I’d love to see you painting watercolour! ❀️ @fay.evini
