Yesss! That’s how I like to work too 😊 It’s funny because the least amount of planning for me is normally the background, but I like working that way because then I just base the background on the character and their color scheme 😌

Awh thank you so much! I really love the plants with red & green in them ☺️ And that is so cool!! It’s really hard for me to work on the fly like that so it’s super cool you’re able to do it and create some of your best work that way 😌 I like to plan about halfway through a drawing and then let it take shape the rest of the way, but I know some artists who plan every single detail and I’m amazed 😱

Haha I don’t think there’s a wrong way to do it! Everyone works differently and honestly it’s really fun to start drawing without any initial ideas 🤗 Normally my process involves browsing Pinterest for color palette inspiration, which I normally find in plants or pictures of the sky. Once I’ve got a good color palette idea I try to find a reference pose that inspires me and loosely base my character drawing off of that, and then from there I see where it takes me! 💛

It looks great and I love the leaves (it's so nice to see the green-and-red leaf colour scheme, it doesn't get enough love) - I am sure it will be even better when it's finished! I didn't used to plan my drawings AT ALL and on the odd occasion I still find that if I'm in the right mood I can do some of my best work on the fly, but recently I am trying to plan more. I don't think it's necessary to plan, but for me I think it saves on the amount of drawings I trash halfway through! Have a lovely weekend <3 @shindo3art

Yes, I definitely work with a plan before hand. I tend to improvize the details or the background, sometimes even the colors, but the pose, the character and the feeling are planned. Amazing painting, and I am loving the colors your used (as always)! @mlara_artescape
