Feature Friday & Tutorial Suggestions! + Early Look⚡️✨

Happy Friday everyone!! How was everyone’s week? 💛

Here’s an early look at a drawing I started working on in a coffee shop! I’ve attached the reference I used for inspiration as well ☺️ I decided to step outside my comfort zone a bit with this one and try out a unique pose & composition I haven’t done before! I don’t think it’s finished quite yet, but I hope you guys enjoy seeing the progress :)

In other news, it’s time to hear your suggestions for this month’s video tutorial! I’ll be taking everyone’s suggestions in the comments and then condensing them into a poll for all of you to vote on next week 🤗 Feel free to suggest anything on your mind that you’d like to see or learn more about! 💛

Feature Friday: It’s time to give your work some love! Comment your Instagram username below and I will be giving everyone a feature on my story over this weekend⚡️ The features will start on Saturday! 😊

That’s all for now! I hope you all have a lovely beautiful weekend ✨

Love,

Lydia ✏️

Aww thank you so much Ana! 😄💖✨

Ugh I understand that feeling! It definitely feels like a fog when that happens 😞 I hope you get out of your art block soon!! 💛

Sometimes I go with a friend, but often times I go by myself! Helps me really get focused on finishing a drawing 🤗 Haha I totally understand where you’re coming from though! As an introvert I’m definitely more of a house cat! 🙈 I think I’ve just cultivated a mindset that associates going out to coffee shops with spending time de-stressing, drinking some chai tea, and drawing while enjoying some nice warm sunlight. I try to go at least once per week because it almost feels like I’m getting out of my own headspace and refreshing my mind 🤗 haha I hope that makes sense! Amazing tutorial suggestion btw! 😄

@kaseysaus looking forward to a video tutorial!

I love it! It's been a while since you drew a character sheet, so maybe talk about that? How to keep consistent, some special features, some emotions that are a must have ? @sophie_artt

This looks so pretty! Loving it a lot! As for the tutorial suggestion, I think that a tutorial on Overlay and how/where to use it in a piece and against what king of background etc would be amazing! @mlara_artescape

My week has been a boring fog of work and art block, but at least it's the weekend now! I love this piece of yours, but I am really partial to side-portraits :) I hope you've had a great week, Lydia! @shindo3art

When you go to the coffee shop to draw, do you go by yourself? If yes, how do you find the strength to do it? I struggle to get out of the house if I don't really NEED to 🤣 As for the tutorial...maybe using references to create original art? It would be related to what you've been doing lately. ☺️🌸 @yoharu.art

Omgggg I’m actually in love with your use of warm and cool colour😻😻😻 btw my ig is Joronity

You are so great with your style and flow of your work. 😍 I’d really like to learn how to stylize faces a bit more. I feel like a prisoner to detail sometimes and I struggle with learning to simplify and imply. You seem to do this with ease and I’d love to see you elaborate on your process for simplifying shapes and detail, if that makes sense! Another thing I’d like to see more on is composition. I feel like I struggle a bit with that too. @pixalis

Oooooo I love the movement here!! And your colors are spot on as always @thorsini
