Vote: March Tutorial Poll! ✨
Added 2020-03-09 15:42:42 +0000 UTCHappy Monday lovelies! I hope you guys had an awesome weekend :) 💛
It's time to vote on this month's tutorial! I've taken everyone's suggestions from our Feature Friday post and have compiled them here 🤗 You guys come up with the best suggestions! Thanks to everyone who contributed :) This poll is a little different from previous tutorial polls, because you are allowed to vote for multiple options! Only one tutorial will be chosen for this month, so if yours doesn't get chosen don't worry! I keep all tutorial suggestions written down for future months :) Keep on reading for some brief info about each of the options as well as a little list of what to expect this week! The poll closes this Friday⚡️
- How to Stylize a Character from Reference: This tutorial will cover some tips on how to stylize a character using a reference of a real person -- I will be using my warmup sketch process as an example! (You can check my Instagram for examples of my warmup sketches, I always show the reference I used from Pinterest in the second slide 🤗) Here's an example!
- Using References to Create Original Art: This tutorial will be focused on how to create an original character using several references and different sources of inspiration!
- Updated Hair Tutorial: Many of you have already seen my hair tutorial video, but as requested I will make an updated version of this tutorial showing some of my newer techniques of painting hair!
- Creating Action Poses: In this tutorial, I'll show you guys some ways to give your character's pose more action!
- How to Use Overlay: This tutorial will cover one of my favorite effects to use in digital art: overlay! I'll show you guys some of the ways you can use this effect to add vibrancy to your artwork.
- How to Paint Skin: In this tutorial, I'll show you guys my process for painting skin!
- Composition Basics: This tutorial will cover some of the basics of composition in character drawing, and how you can use it to improve the space around your character.
- Updated Facial Features & Proportions Tutorial: This will be an updated & improved version of the tutorial I made almost a year ago! Covering some tips and tricks of drawing a face with good proportions.
- Harsh vs. Soft Shadows: This tutorial will cover how and where to use soft and harsh shadows in your drawing!
Happy voting!! Below is a little list of what else you can expect to see this week! 🤗✨
- Process Video: I just posted a process video of my newest drawing, which I'm calling "Breeze!" It shows my entire process from sketch to finish :) Available for all $5+ patrons!
- This month's "Draw With Me" video! - Stay tuned for this month's Draw With Me video that I will be posting this week! In the video I'll be discussing a topic that I get asked about a lot and giving some tips while showing you guys my watercolor process 💛 Available for all $5+ patrons!
