Vote: July Tutorial Poll!✨
Added 2020-07-13 14:43:17 +0000 UTCHappy Monday everyone! 💖 I hope you all had a lovely & restful weekend 🤗
It's time to vote on this month's tutorial video! We got lots of awesome suggestions on our Feature Friday post and I've included all of them here for you guys to decide 😌✨ For this poll you're allowed to pick more than one option but only one will win! Keep on reading below for a little info about each of the options :)
- Hair Tutorial! (Updated Version): This tutorial will be a new and improved hair tutorial! As many of you already know, I created a hair tutorial last year, but my style has improved so much since then! In this new tutorial I will share some tips and techniques that I use to create beautiful hair.
- Atmospheric Backgrounds: This tutorial will be all about how to paint a background that adds interest & mood to your character, using only color, texture, light, and other painting techniques. We'll focus on creating a background that doesn't overwork the drawing or look flat, but rather brings your drawing to life!
- How to Draw Male Portraits: In this tutorial I'll share some tips on how to draw males! Many artists find it easier to draw females, but in this video I'll show you guys some easy ways to play with proportions and angles to create a male character.
- Drawing a Pose in Lower Perspective: In this tutorial I'll show you guys how to gesture out a pose from a lower perspective! In the future I plan to make a video about how to draw a pose from a higher perspective, but in this video we will focus on how to draw a dramatic pose from a "worm's eye view" or a lower view. We'll look at how different shapes and angles can influence the perspective of a pose!
- Rendering Eyes: In this tutorial I'll show you guys how to render and add value to eyes! We'll focus on shading and highlights, adding detail, and how to give the eye a look of life.
- Finding a Style: Proportions: In this video I'll talk about how you can play with proportions and drawing techniques to find a unique style. We'll cover some fun exercises that you can experiment with to create a style that is original to you!
- How to Draw a Full Body Pose: This tutorial will focus on basic full body anatomy! I'll share some tips on how to draw the basic framework of the human body to help get you started on a full body illustration. We'll unpack the basics of body proportions, shapes, and the importance of gestures!
- Textures & Digital Effects: In this tutorial I'll show you guys several simple & easy techniques I use to add visual interest to my drawings; things like sparkle effects, 3D effects, and other things you can do to add a magical look!
And that's it!! You can find all my other tutorials easily via desktop by clicking on the "Tutorials" button on the home page 🤗 I'm so excited to see what you guys pick! This poll will close on Wednesday, July 15th at 10:00 PM. Happy voting!! ~
Love,
Lydia✏️
