Sneak-Peek with Steps! π + Some exciting news!! β¨

Here is my newest drawing Iβve been working on! π₯³ plus some bonus steps you can swipe through to see a little bit of the process :) This was so relaxing & fun! I wanted to practice painting blue skin because Iβve always struggled with it in past attempts, but I really like how this one turned out! βΊοΈ There will be a full process video of this drawing for all Big-Hearted Butterfly patrons and an open PSD file with all my layers for Devoted Dragonfly patrons! πβ¨ stay tuned! :)
An exciting update:
For the past couple weeks weβve been working on something really special that will be opening in just a few days: my first ever online store! π My art will be available to be purchased as prints for the first time on INPRNT! Theyβre an amazing online print store created for artists to sell their work as high quality prints βΊοΈ I havenβt announced it anywhere else so you guys are the first to know! Iβll be launching it some time this week π Itβs a big step for my art that I never thought Iβd get to do and I canβt wait to share it with you guys! π₯°

I see! Compared to your usual, this painting had more hard brush strokes on the face and while it looks amazing, I was wondering if you were aiming for pointing out the planes of the face π

My thought process toward shading has become instinctual over time actually π but what I focus on the most are the high points & low points of the face, and where light will hit the brightest! Raised areas of the race (like the brow bone, cheek bone, nose, upper eyelid, upper lip) will often be highlighted the brightest and everything else around those areas will be softer shades and darker :)
