Happy Monday everyone! 🥰 How was your weekend? 🧡
A couple days ago I shared the process video of my indoor environment study and I decided to do something a little different and include a mini step-by-step tutorial to explain one of the techniques you see in the video! ✏️ So now I’m sharing the step-by-step with the rest of you guys too 🥰 It covers how I rendered the texture of the bedsheets!
The step-by-step explains a technique I learned from observing concept artists, which involves incorporating an image into your drawing, playing with the opacities of the image and then painting on top of it to create a unique textural look :) An example of an artist who uses this technique a lot is Ross Draws!
I hope you find it useful!! I don‘t use this technique very often, but it’s a good technique to know so you can apply it to a drawing if you feel like you need to :)✨
Just scroll down to the bottom of this post to find the attachments for the step-by-step! I’ve included a JPG and a PDF so you can select the one that gives you the best resolution for your device ✏️
Have a lovely & cozy day guys :) 🧡
Love,
Lydia 💌
