Happy New Month! 💌 A little newsletter for you + what to expect this month ✨

Hello everyone & welcome to a new month! 🧡☺️

I’m currently sitting at my desk with the window open because we’re finally getting some warmer weather, and I wanted to write another newsletter-style post for you guys! So get cozy and keep reading for some updates and other things to expect this month 🥰

February was a really exciting month for me because I explored some new avenues with my content that I hadn’t ever done before, and as a result I feel like I have a really refreshed outlook on the kinds of content that I can make in the future! I made my very first mini assignment to go along with the step-by-step tutorial for the month, which is something I had been thinking about doing for a while 🙈 and now I think creating an occasional little assignment to go along with tutorials will be really fun for the future! 

I also filmed a traditional sketching video which I haven’t done in forever, and it felt like a breath of fresh air 🤍 Sketching in my sketchbook is something I’ve started doing again recently and I definitely want create more sketchbook session content for you guys :) 

The other new thing I explored last month was in our tutorial video, which I filmed as a real-time walkthrough style video! I felt really nervous about it at first since the video was almost 2 hours long, but sooo many of you guys really loved the slower pace of the video and I’m so happy you all enjoyed it! 😍 Many of you have also expressed that you’d like to have more tutorials like that in the future, and that’s something I would love to do too ☺️ 

In other news, today I’ve been working on coloring a detailed version of Rapunzel and I’ve been screen-recording the coloring & rendering process for a real-time process video! So stay tuned that video which will be posted sometime this week :) ✨

Before ending the newsletter, I also just want to say that my heart goes out to everyone who is being affected in and around Ukraine right now. Many of my art friends live in Ukraine, and I can only imagine how hard this must be for them and their families. It feels strange to be posting happy content when there’s so much suffering happening, and I hope all of you and your loved ones are staying safe 🧡
