[Progress Dump] August~!!!

Hey y’all,

It has been a little bit of a rocky month, with a number of power outages and RL blahs being just... BLLLEEHH.

But it has also been a productive month, as we’ve continued to make progress on The Librarian Girl Jasmine and important breakthroughs with the Memento Engine.

YAY~!!

We’ve also talked over our goals for our Patreon page, as we continue our preparations for the months ahead. We’ve updated them to reflect some of our needs for development while keeping them cheeky and lewd. So if you’re looking for a little lewd snicker, give them a read. ; 3

Memento

Milestone

Thanks to our latest round of stabilization and unit testing, we’ve discovered some important aspects of Memento that have changed the way we write code and solve problems.

We now have a large set of independent code libraries we call the Foundation Libraries, and it’s the stuff we build on that handles all the hard stuff.

Why’s that important? It keeps the engine code separate from the game code, making it easier to find problems, reduces the need for re-writing or upgrading (thank you T_T), and lowers the chance of spending late nights going “WTF… WHY?!?!”.

This is a big relief. (Code Confidence +20) : D

Other Stuff

• Significant improvements to in-game memory and variables across all foundation systems.
• More improvements to resource handling to reduce memory consumption on android devices.
• Major bug fixes to Z-Scripts thanks to new Unit Tests.

What’s Next?

This month it’s more of the same as we continue to push forwards with all of Zurpai Games’ lewd developments.

Buka Chan will continue their works on The Librarian Girl Jasmine and the lewd pin-ups. They have 3 development weeks for Jasmine and 2 lewd pin-ups, starting with everyone’s favorite Paizuri Impact featuring Freya the traveling merchant.

Unknown Sen and Zuri Sama will continue working on Memento, working with the latest changes and discoveries to stabilize it even further.

Zuri Sama will also work on the Vertical Slice and The Librarian Girl Jasmine, writing and tweaking the story with the latest art.

And as usual, there will be a Committee Survey to help shape our lewd decisions. Committee patrons can expect that on Friday the 17th of September. Don’t forget!
