[Development] Designing Kareen~!

Hey y’all,

This week we’ve been working on Kareen’s design, finally making it official.

Something we’ve never had is proper character sheets, which are images that help keep the design of a character consistent when drawing them.

And part of this month has been to create those for Kareen, taking the best bits from all the drawings we’ve done over the years and combining them together into a final Kareen design.

The first character sheet we’ve worked on this week is Kareen’s cute face and pom poms!

Next, we designed a cute chibi-style design of her, which we’re using to create a 3D model.

As part of the roleplaying vertical slice, Kareen will be running around Bill’s apartment and interacting with things. And for the last year, we’ve been working on a design that we hope strikes the right balance of style, humor, and cuteness that doesn’t take away from all the hand-drawn naughty scenes by Buka Chan.

The model is still being worked on, but we’ll be showing it off once we’ve worked out some extra details about Kareen’s look. But you can expect a sneak peek of that soon.

And that’s it!

Since this is the first time we’re developing a formal process for our characters, it’s taking a little longer than we anticipated. So we’ll be continuing our work on Kareen into next month. But don’t worry, we’ve come up with ways to keep it interesting for y’all. >; D
