[Development] Facial Expressions and Emotes~!!

Hey y’all,

These last few weeks we’ve been working on ways for characters to express themselves, adding new animations, facial expressions, and emote bubbles. ❤

Since we’ll be doing a lot of the scenes as in-game cutscenes, we’ve had to make a lot of updates to Memento to help with characters' performances as they act and read their dialogue. It’s not very interesting if they just stand still otherwise, so having a lot of control is essential to making it look nice.

We’ve also been fleshing out the story more. It’s been very different from writing visual novels, so we’ve had to come up with new rules on how we present and write dialogue for certain scenes. It’s challenging, but it’s been fun discovering what makes a Paizuri roleplaying game feel right.
