[Progress Dump] December & 2023~!!!

Hey y’all,

HAPPY NEW YEAAR~!!

Another month and another year have gone by in the blink of an eye, so it’s a good time to look back and have a look at how things have been going for Zuripai Games.

It’s also a good opportunity to keep y’all up to date with us, how things have been going, our plans, and air a few things out that have happened along the way.

December has been a long and busy month filled with family and friends, as we celebrated Christmas, and the free-4-all battle royale called Christmas Shopping.

It’s also the month the Zuripai team stepped back a little, wrapping up the year and making sure we don’t overdo it during all the madness.

Last year was also a full year of learning and discovery, as we upgraded our skills, and discovered new ways to approach what we’re doing.

We learned a whole lot of new stuff too, adding skills like using Blender and Live 2D, learning new techniques to make art, live streaming and writing our very own engine to add to our tool belt, just to name a few.

We also focused on refining what we already had, tightening up our process, fleshing out our characters and expanding the world in the Paizuri Wiki to give it all a proper home.

However, it has also been a turbulent year. Learning things about ourselves and how people have been impacting us during the development of Zuripai Games. Teaching us a valuable lesson in who to trust and who we give our time to.

The Unity thing in September ended up being the straw that broke the camel's back. Prompting us to reflect on how things are really going, where we are and how we even got there.

The break up with Unity revealed a lot to us, making us realize that something was lost along the way and also just how strange things had really gotten.

Because of that, we’ve been giving ourselves time to rediscover what has been lost, giving ourselves some extra room to flex, and find that spark that started it all for us in the first place.

It's been a challenging and eventful year, working on ourselves and the Paizuri World, whilst figuring out how to bring it all together.

What’s next?

After the length-y hiatus, and all the changes we’ve had to make in the last few months, we honestly feel like a relaunch of our Patreon is needed. What that will look like and its details is too early to say.

But it does mean we’ll be extending the hiatus to take the time to think about Zuripai Games as a whole. There is a lot we want to do, so taking our time and organizing ourselves with all the changes has never been more important.

You can expect us to continue our work on the Paizuri University Remaster, and the Oppai Engine, as we hash this all out.

So, expect some news about coming changes in the near future.

There have been a lot of ups and downs, lefts and rights, ins and outs, but we’re keeping at it.
