[Art] Kareen in the Garden~!

Hello dearies!

It’s Kareen in the garden, and she’s very cutely asking to climb up into Bill’s bedroom~!

This scene is the very first time you see Kareen. It was used as the thumbnail for the original game and I think it caught people’s attention, so I really wanted to make sure it was super duper cute!

In previous posts I shared the initial sketch and the first color pass for the re-draw. Since then, I’ve made updates to her design, focusing on adjusting the way I drew her hair and face for optimum cuteness.

I made quite a few tweaks to all the art for the Prologue along the way. I wanted to make sure that you felt connected to Kareen right from the start, and it felt like the same Kareen the whole time!

Another thing I wanted to get right was the lighting. The original had light shining down onto Kareen from the open window, as well as from a street light. I think this really set the mood for a “mysterious girl at night” so I wanted to make sure I kept the same feeling!

But hmm, there seems to be something kinda strange about her shadow on the left. I wonder what that could be? Hehe!
