[Art] Summer's New Look~!

It’s Summer! The cute girly trying to pay her university tuition by baking and selling strange cookies.
For Summer’s redesign, I wanted to create a style that felt just a bit more mature while keeping her super cute charm. I did make some changes like removing her side bangs, though the biggest focus was her dress.
When designing her face I tried a new approach, measuring angles to make it easier to redraw her consistently, which was a trick I discovered while refining Kareen’s design. It sped up the process so much!
Even with that, there were plenty of “not quite right” sketches, but it felt like solving a fun little mystery. A tweak here, an adjustment there, and suddenly, tada! A page full of faces that were Summer. Here’s an example of a bunch of the iterations I made!

I honestly thought that your art had stagnated a bit back when you were drawing the monthly Paizuri Impacts, but this is definitely a level up from that, if not several. The colouring and shading in particular are much better and make a big difference in terms of the image appearing less flat. Additionally, the faces are a lot more expressive compared to the previous versions. No doubt you've put in quite a bit of work and study to hone your style, and it's certainly paying off. :)
