Hey y’all,
Welcome to Oat Pi's Photography class, located on the second floor of the Photography, Films & Computer Graphics building at Oat Pi University.
Something I’ve been trying to do with all the backgrounds is maintain as much of the original as I can. Keeping the camera angle, the overall composition, and the general layout of the scene the same.
The classroom had a big change, making sure to match the interior windows with the modern exterior facade. I copied some of the elements from the outdoor scene for continuity with the ground outside, that way the scene outside the windows matches the Outdoor scene.
I also couldn’t imagine students sitting there in the early morning getting blasted by the sun, so I added some slatted blinds.
Here's an early render without any blinds.
Something cool you can see in the final image is that lighting on the blind is created by how the sunlight is bouncing off each slat into the one above. This really helped maintain the sunlight coming into the scene without blocking it out completely, which was a happy accident.
I feel like there’s still a few more details I can add, but I’m happy with how it looks so far. I think I want to come back to this background after I’ve done some of the other classrooms that are needed. Giving all the classrooms that little final polish.
So what do you think? Let me know in the comments. Feedback is always welcome.
Class dismissed! 📚
