Wow - after a lot of setbacks, release 0.3.03 (Lois Griffin update) finally went out!
Some more good news is that there have been zero bugs reported so far.
Lois has 4 missions in total and has you running all across the map in order to finish them. She's also the first character whose storyline and missions aren't intertwined with the rest. That will be typical for characters going forward, unless they fit into the main storyline, which at the moment is Dexter's Mom, Sara Bellum and Mrs Incredible.
This will be the last release of its kind. What I mean by that, is that the typical experience for you as a player (right now) can be thought of:
Talk to a character >> Do missions for them >> Get rewarded with a sex scene.
While this is somewhat fun, I think that game loop misses the true point of what we ALL want out of an experience with these characters.
We don't want to just complete a linear series of tasks to unlock a predetermined reward. Instead, we want to be immersed in a dynamic world that feels alive. The magic lies in the unpredictability of the world and our role in it. We might choose to peep through a window (or a fence), not because the game explicitly rewards it, but because it aligns with the narrative weβve created in our head.
That doesn't mean the game shouldn't have a well-defined game loop. It just means that the game loop needs to be a more immersive and scalable.
Currently, what takes A LOT of time are the rendered sex scenes. Lois, for instance, was already incorporated into the game world, had all of her dialogue and missions completed, and her AI done in a matter of weeks. Setting up the sex scene, the lights, the shots, the animations and rendering the frames - that's where most of the time went.
.....That's not scalable.
Each new character I decide to add would take me months to accomplish...and unless there's a lot of characters walking around to feel like it's an actual city, it won't feel immersive.
Which is why the Relationship Manager is so important.
Now, the game loop becomes a bit deeper, and the rewards are more variable.
It will allow me to add characters faster because there will be a framework already built where they immediately fall into.
The new Game Loop can be defined as follows:

The new game loop will look more like what you are used to seeing in Dating Sims.
When you approach a character, you'll have the option to Talk, Compliment, Gift, Date, Command, Wear and Emote.
The options available to you will be determined by the Perks you have unlocked for each character.
For instance, you may unlock the "Doggy Style" Perk with Marge Simpson. This will allow you to approach Marge, and command her to "bend over".
To unlock new Perks, you'll have to level up the relationship with the character (by doing missions, talking to them, complimenting them, etc...). You'll also have to have in your possession the 3 jewels that it will take for that particular Perk to be unlocked.
The "Doggy Style" Perk may require a Sapphire, Ruby, and an Emerald to unlock. You'll have to obtain them by looking around for them, getting them as reward missions, or just buying them from a merchant.

Once you "commit" the jewels, they will be removed from your inventory and your new perk will immediately become available for you to use/see/experience.
As a HUGE thank you to my top-tier Patreons, I've decided to release a Special Experimental Build for Edgeville. What the build has:
The exterior walls have been completely removed, allowing you to get a "behind-the-scenes" look at the City of Edgeville. You will also be able to run outside of the city limits, where other locations will be located.
You'll be able to go inside Luigi's - and try out a few pizza deliveries!
The area around the farm will be explorable, allowing you to pull weeds that grow back every day at 8am.
You can explore the Shopping Districts where there are some walls up, and even a few products for you to look at.
The current model for Francine Smith will be there, probably in T-Pose.
NONE OF THIS is meant to be a complete experience. It is COMPLETELY bare-bones, and is just a way for you to have something that no one else has. It's a neat peak-behind-the-curtain access.
Visionaries, Sponsors and Backers will receive access.
After the Relationship Manager is complete, I'll get started on some of the perks.
The wonderful thing is that I'll be able to scale the game mechanics later after that point.
In other words, I can add more and more characters, and it won't break the game as I can always add specific perks as builds/releases later on.
H-Scenes will not be a bottleneck anymore for adding new characters.
New characters that I have already stated, or am in the process of starting:
Francine Smith : You've seen screenshots of her, but her model still needs work to make it look more like the cartoon version, while keeping the stylized look of Edgeville.
Nicole Watterson: You haven't seen screenshots yet, only because I'm not happy with the way she looks. However, I'll share the screenshots next week.
Marge Simpson: There is nothing to show, as I've just started the planning.
Mrs Incredible: You already have her in the game, but her character model and animations need to be updated.
Glass: Same as Mrs.Incredible, you already have her in the game but her design needs some updating.
Another poll - and another chance for you to voice your ideas!
I look at ALL the results of the polls, and they absolutely affect the design of the game.
Make sure you to participate in all of the polls and engage in the comments. I always read everything!
No more "CCG Games".
"CCG Games" came from "Cute Curious Girl".
No, I'm not a girl. I created that as my Reddit username because my wife said that normally, I'm too "rough around the edges", and that should make me come off as friendlier.
All it did was invite questions of whether or not I had a dick (literally).
I have been hesitant to do this mostly because all of my marketing and links point back to CCG Games.
However, I think it is important for me to make this change now so that I can grow in the future.
So....expect for me to have a different name soon: KUN.
