You noticed the updated theme song but did you notice the new logo? 😊

Willow passed out because she was pushing back the anxiety she was having from what she was seeing while she got the evidence and then after she did what she HAD to do, she just passed out from the stress of the situation.

So great

Same I would love to watch Dollhouse. I haven't seen that. But I have watched Tru Calling and I love it so much. First time I ever saw Zach Galifiankis.

My two cents (& even the very most dedicated and passionate of us in the fandom that watched it on air): you shouldn’t feel like you have to stress about avoiding the opening credits on certain eps or main theme just bc some super fans say you’ll be spoiled. Those of us who fell in love with the show as it aired on cable Tuesday nights could not avoid those things… we couldn’t fast forward and Google/social media didn’t give us any advanced warnings..And it never detracted from the quality of the experience. (Or maybe that’s just me) If anything, it’s part of the fun, to watch the opening theme for the very first episode of a new season to get .5second shots from future episodes, and fill in the blanks as the season goes on and you end up recognizing those clips. The show runners created Btvs to be enjoyed as it is presented 🤷‍♀️ yes it’s not that big a deal right now, but I’ve seen some reactors get so caught up in avoiding spoilers that they missed out on a little bit of the experience. Either way, I’m So glad you’re on this journey! BTVS shaped A LOT of my personality in my adolescence and influenced moral compass, as well as comforted me in low times. and it means so much to see it continues to make people smile today.:)

Not sure if you are referencing Tru Calling or Dollhouse. But Dollhouse is Eliza's other Joss Whedon show she was on. Dollhouse is more Sci-fi though, it has 2 seasons, 26 episodes. Never watched it myself but it's on my list so I'd be down to watch it along with you!

Angel season 1 and Buffy Season 4 aired at the same time

I agree all men are most definitely not beasts, but it does give us insight into Faith's experiences with men and how she views them.

Tru Calling is Dushku show, only 2 seasons though but i love it :)

The way they make the most dangerous “beast” was the one who seemed so human in the beginning is the scariest part.

Not one of my favorites but an interesting one nonetheless. The concept of the “Beasts” in the title of the episode as explained by Giles is explored in three different ways. We have feral Angel who, by the end of the episode is demonstrating a willingness to overcome his monstrosity. We have Oz who is a beast but not a monster and therefore absolutely redeemable. And finally the third beast, Pete, who is a true I redeemable monster. I disagree with the statement made by Faith in the beginning regarding all men being beasts. I think it’s taking the metaphor a little too far.

I think the sun was close to setting by the time Angel broke his chains and ran amok. Also I believe you said in the season premiere Anne that the shot of Buffy looking over her shoulder during that fight in the L.A. underground/hell dimension would be in the main titles and you were totally right.

Ok cool thank you! I figured I was reading into that too much lol.

Angel breaks free but we don't actually see when he leaves the building. I'm guessing we're supposed to assume that a vampire, even a feral one, has enough self-preservation instincts not to run out into daylight. We don't see him again until after the sun sets, so... the viewer is left to fill in the blanks. There's a lot going on in the episode and they were probably pressed for time. A stretch, to be sure, but nothing too egregious.
