I think in the book it happened before Lestat ever showed up actually. Lestat just...found it convenient timing and has massive religious trauma (as we fucking saw at dinner) so was triggered by the confession 🤣

It's kind of sad lol but I don't care. This is one of the best shows out there, in my opinion. The chemistry between Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid (Louis and Lestat) is unreal, I haven't seen chemistry that good in a long time. And it's like that in real life too, they're best friends who are a little codependent. It's really cute. They gave themselves a "ship name" called Jam Reiderson and that's what everyone calls them, even the showrunner of the show haha. It's just nice to see because sometimes actors don't get along, you know? Cough cough. Jacob has become one of my favorite actors/musicians (his music is under the name Raleigh Ritchie, he sings about butch days and femme days and they and them days). I didn't know he was British until I heard him talk because his accent work is amazing on the show. Sam Reid is Australian, they're both so great. And let me tell you, vampirism as a metaphor for queerness is just *chefs kiss* UGH I love this show so much I disgust myself. Louis and Lestat are soooo messy and toxic, but they love each other!!!
