My full reaction to Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Gary Oldman is the best!

You should see Neville now. He grew up pretty.

Malinda McAteer

The Aunt Marge floating was practical effects, not CGI.

Also, I think they moved Hagrid’s house in this one.

Trent “atomicvampire”

I think it’s time to take the HP sorting hat quiz and the others. This movie, for me, was finally when the CGI got so much better and everything just gets better.

Trent “atomicvampire”

Yeah I think so as well. I'll watch it elsewhere for the next one.

Chance's House Of Horror

Just getting started but I think Peacock messed with this one, it’s shorter than it should be and my memory could be failing me but I don’t remember the fade to black transitions, I think this one might be the “edited for TV” version.. it’s been a while since I’ve seen it so I could be wrong but it doesn’t feel completely right

Aurro Eronaile

I love the werewolf design in this movie. I enjoy a good big wolf as much as the next guy but I wish more horror movies would take notes from this and go for more of a humanoid/animalistic hybrid.

Ghosts are wizards who chose to stay behind on Earth after they died instead of moving on but it's not that common in the Wizarding World as a whole. Hogwarts has a fair amount of ghosts but the majority of wizards don't actually take that path. Some stay behind for penance and some stay out of fear of the unknown.

in the books not a single dementor attacks harry until he starts trying to protect sirius at the lake, it's merely being in their presence that makes him faint. dumbledore was extremely opposed to the dementors because of their depressing aura but agreed to host them because he was told they would stay off the grounds and the ministry was pushy about it, but if anyone had been attacked without provocation dumbledore would never ever have allowed it. ron doesn't agree with snape about hermione being a know it all in the book, he yells at snape and gets himself detention. it's also not hermione who says "you'll have to kill us too," she just whisper yells at harry to get away from sirius, while ron jumps up on his broken leg, swaying and pale, and says that. the tree was planted and the shrieking shack was built when lupin came to hogwarts so he could have a secluded place to transform and the tree would keep others away. dumbledore kept them so he could accommodate any future werewolf students that came to hogwarts. the sounds lupin made when transformed spurred rumors the shack was haunted, which dumbledore encouraged to further keep students away. once lupin came back to hogwarts though, snape was there to brew him a potion called wolfsbane. the potion didn't keep him from transforming, but it made it so that he kept his human mind during the full moon and could just ride it out in his office without endangering anybody. (probably why hermione attempted approaching him, she thought he could've been himself) only, that night, when he saw sirius and peter on the map with hermione, ron and harry, he left in a hurry to save them and left the map behind in his office. snape came to deliver the potion and saw the map laying open, which is how he found them. when james, sirius, and peter found out that lupin was a werewolf they decided to become animagi to keep him company during the full moon. (werewolves exclusively attack humans unless provoked so they'd be safe) so they'd run around the forest and the grounds, lupin as a wolf (mooney), peter as a rat (wormtail), sirius as a dog (padfoot) and james as a stag (prongs) they created the marauders map at school and it's the only thing like it of its kind, which is why lupin knows about it but snape had no idea. this is also why harry thought it was his dad on the lake- the patronus was a stag. (plus he could kinda see himself and him and his dad look very alike)
