It took me years to realise it was Robin in Galaxy Quest such a great film

2025-04-24 20:39:08 +0000 UTCYes, my ship has returned! Giles/Ethan, heck yeah! This episode is hilarious whilst also managing to drive the plot forward. So incredibly sad to have lost Robin Sachs (Ethan actor) at only 61 though (heart attack in 2013). He had an incredibly and storied career; trained at RADA, worked with the liked of Sir Derek Jacobi, John Hurt, Sir Donald Southern and Sir John Gielgud; had his first movie role in a Hammer Film's production (Vampire Circus); was previously married to Dame Sian Phillips, former wife of Peter 'O'Toole; later worked in a lot of Scifi and Genre type stuff (Buffy, Babylon 5, Star Trek Voyager, Galaxy Quest etc) before making a career out of Video Game voice work. Operation Tribute in Mass Effect 3 was/is dedicated to his memory as he voiced the character of Zaeed Massani; also did voice work for other Mass Effect games, Dragon Age: Origins, Resident Evil: Damnation, BioHazard 3, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, and others.
