Sketch Tier, Health, Flood and Eviction

Everyone can send their character suggestions for August. Things should hopefully be stable enough for me to still be able to work this coming month.

If you have not seen from my recent Twitter post, I am being unlawfully evicted from my apartment. Here's the full story: 

2 years ago there was a bad flood here from Outgoing sewage water (that's the water with people's waste in it). They fixed that pipe and replaced our carpeting, but the walls are filled with mold from it. Well, when they fixed that line, they accidentally broke the Incoming line right next to it. Over the course of the past 2 years that line destabilized till last week. It flooded our apartments Again (thankfully Incoming clean water). The walls and floor are permeating with mold. This was not just my household, 90 apartments flooded... Our landlords came and dried the floors, but wouldn't clean them, turns out they plan to renovate these apartments to sell them at a higher price. Only problem is, we're still in them and they want us out. In my state it is legal to evict people due to housing emergencies like flood damage, but they have to give lodging to the persons being evicted for 30 days as written. Our landlords gave us 5 days...we have to be out by Sunday (tomorrow/today). With no lodging btw.

My health has been deteriorating here for the past 2 years. My bronchitis usually goes away in the Summer, this year was the First time that did not happen. I'll be glad to leave, this recent flood has made my body even worse so it's proof to be the cause. But we need time. We got a hold of a family lawyer, but they aren't from this state and have to find one in our district to contact. We may be able to get a settlement for this wrongful eviction and my apartment making my health worse, as they left a broken pipe leak in our flat never fixed that was contributing to the mold. I'm not holding my hopes up for a lawyer though, I just want enough time to get out and so many apartments in the area that my mom can get to work from are full. Some of the new places cost more than our current one and to survive I'll need to make more money.

Coming Changes to Sketch Tier and Hero Tier

Starting September 1st, the new Sketch Tier will changed to 34$ and the 45$ Hero Tier will be taken off. The Sketch Tier will be increased from 8 slots to somewhere between 10-12.

On August 31st I will delete the Sketch Tier before it charges them, the next day after the collection period begins I'll open the new 34$ Clean Sketch Tier.

This change is coming for two reasons, the main being that the quality I intended was never the quality I output. I nearly always give Clean Sketches instead of plain, scratchy, messy sketches to my Sketch Tier patrons. Since I always give cleaned up quality sketches anyway I will start charging for their worth now. I've been told I should still be charging more but I don't want to scare anyone away and still remain within people's budgets. The tier will still include voting and suggestion privileges and the same rules on what someone can ask for. 

The other reason I am making this change is because I will be deleting the 45$ hero tier and have to make up the losses. That tier has caused me nothing but pain since day 1. I have Never been able to keep up with patron's work in that full color tier. I have repaid 2 holders of it so far and am incredibly sorry to them for not being able to keep up with the work. 2-4 hours per piece for the Clean Sketches is fine, but 6-12 hours on the Full Colors for the Hero Tier has sent me back by months.

I had already discussed this and planned it before, recent events have just further forced that I should and will. I have also already spoken with my sketch tier patrons and most of them agree I should charge more and are willing to stay.

I'm still catching up on all ends. I'm sorry for the drip-feed of work. Unless they call the police to have us thrown out I should still be able to work until moving day when I won't have internet for a little while.
