Happy New Year!
Added 2021-12-31 10:00:03 +0000 UTCSo, people! Another year passed and we are still here!
This year I climbed mountains (although small ones) and swam in my first ocean (although it was Arctic ocean). I played snowballs in the middle of July, and drank vodka shots under the sun in the middle of the night (cause it was polar day). I drove endless roads, while watching trees get smaller, and enjoyed ancient churches far from civilisation. It was fun.
I saw death this year more times than I wished for (screw COVID), but on other hand - I saw new beautiful life enter that world too. Its the circle of life, I guess.
So, let's raise our glasses this night, and be thankful for 2021, despite the troubles this year tested us with.
I'm immensely thankful that you supported me this year with your funds. That helped me a lot, since my official job started sinking this autumn, and money is tight. Hope I didn't disappoint you this year either, and you will stay for next "season" of a stupid show "VanSchalk draws robot girls". Speaking of which:
Comics will continue as usual. In January I will complete cover for "A Regressive Proposal", and will update a couple of pages (those didn't age well, and characters are just horribly drawn). After that I will compile it in a proper PDF, and will post it here. Marisa's story will continue too, of course. As of a project that will replace Regressive - I have a couple of offers, but not sure yet which one I will take.
"G Project" will go in a faster pace, which will result 12+ pages next year (keep in mind that I draw three comics at the same time, and total pages per year is somewhere round 30, usually). And I have big plans for "G". This big. All of those folders contain at least a plot description, and a lot of them already have various concept drawings in them. So there are literally no brakes on this train now. I won't spoil you plot details, but you can guess some of them by just looking at the names.
In terms of organization, I'm thinking to start posting an annex post monthly, for easy access of new patrons. Just some links to first pages of comics, clouds of tags, etc. This causes another change in the structure of this page - now it is in "charge upfront" mode forever. This is done because I grew tired of manually catching at least a couple of people monthly who evade paydays by cancelling their pledges on last day of the month and resubscribing next day, after all of you honest people were charged. Now that hole in the wall was closed.
So, I congratulate you once again, and wish you good luck in the upcoming year!
