i think we could have "should" in place of "could", that not incorrect too as this: "shouldn't you've warned me in advance?"

feels wrong. Maybe it's the double V W - it's hard to pronounce in this form. Surprisingly, I find it much easier to pronounce if you go for the full "have" form. No idea if it breaks some language rule, but I don't think it's something anyone would try to say aloud willingly

in conversation, "couldn't you have warned me in advance" is OK, but "couldn't you've warned me in advance" is rarely spoken. "You could have warned me in advance" is most common
