Story #0 Official Trailer! +Keychains for Tier 3 Patrons

Hey guys, the new BIG trailer is out, go and check it out!

You'll notice that I pushed the release date one week, so the premiere will now be on March 31st on my Twitch channel (and YouTube). Exact date and time will be announced, but I reckon it'll be similar to previous releases (5PM-ish EST).

Thanks to some friendlies on the live-stream, I've been getting a lot better at Blender (the 3D modelling program used for these trailers). I'm very far from making animations that match the liveliness of my 2D, but I'm having a lot of fun crafting environments and using the virtual camera.

It really does help - the new pledges from Gildedguy vs Oxob allowed us to produce custom background art for 100% of the new animation.

Animation Update

As for the animation itself, we've pretty much cleared the main song portion, and are now working on the ending scenes and credits. Numbers wise, we're past the 85% mark, which means we're well within the dreaded final fifth. This area of the production is risky, because it's where all the ignored, de-prioritized, or hidden tasks over the previous months come out and demand attention. "The last 20% of a project is where you find 80% of the work".

I don't foresee any pitfalls that would seriously jeopardize the release, but we are tackling a lot more elements this time around (GildedGala game, more merch, bigger team). I'm still certain that the animation will come out as great as I can make it, even if I have to pull an all-nighter or two.

GildedGala - It's still underway!

There's been serious legwork put into the premiere event app/game thingy. We have more features, content, and community faces in the app now:

- Avatar customization
- NPC's
- Theater Room
- Event phases (opening, premiere, afterparty)
- 100 players per room? (untested!)

The final product will be free to play on premiere day, so that we can get as many viewers bumping and chatting with each other in the same room. It's shaping up to be a very interesting foundation piece for enhancing live-events.

It's still under wraps, but we'll be unveiling the concept to everyone in about 2 weeks in a separate GildedGala advert.
