No Problem. I assumed it was around Heroes Reborn in the 90s. The 90s in general are a gray area for me. I pretty-much got out of comics in 1993 and didn't really return until the late 90s around that time. I did get the whole Ms Marvel series 1-50 just recently. The 2006 series, with some covers by Frank Cho. She predominantly wears the yellow and black costume through the whole thing. I think it is actually referred to as the 2nd costume according to Comic Vines. That makes sense, seeing you pointed out Dave Cockrum introduced it in her first series. Regardless, that's my favorite costume. I actually watched the Bree Larson movie last night. Very unremarkable! She is very pretty and can act, but her body type is all off. Not just the butt thing either. I think first off, she's not tall enough. Her legs are to short as well. As for the new costume? It's not terrible and I don't mind the short hair either in some incarnations, but that yellow and black suit made me take notice, so that will always be my number one. Also, I don't want to go off at nausea about how much I don't like the MCU, but this movie was a good example of unmemorable. If I never heard of Ms Marvel or Captain Marvel, whatever, this movie would not have hooked me like Frank Cho did in the 00s. It's purely on the visuals and the way he draws her. Granted it's just Brandy from Liberty Meadows with a blond wig and a cosplay costume. But I like that!

Yeah, I know how that is; I've been into comics for almost as long (35 years), and certain events just seem to flow into one another and become jumbled with time... And with Marvel and DC rebooting their comics damn near every year now, it makes things like this even worse... Anyway, yeah I remember just after Heroes Reborn they started to deal with her drinking problem (her and Tony's; for about a dozen years, it seemed like every time one of them would go on the wagon, the other would fall off of it). And I do remember her ditching her armored Warbird costume and going back to her Ms. Marvel one for a while; I guess she Kept the Warbird tag for a while after that? But then she got a new ongoing series, and Marvel decided to call her Ms. Marvel again, before Kamala was invented and got that moniker, and Carol became Captain Marvel as she's known to this day. Again, this is stuff I'm half-remembering, half-guessing at; I'll have to go back and re-read some of those comics to know for certain, but I'm assuming you're right, and my memories seem to jibe with what you've said. Thanks for the info, and the direct comic book issue reference number, that helps quite a bit. 😃

I found the first reference of Warbird. In the avengers vol. 3 #4 from 1998.

I could be mistaken, but I remember somewhere in the 80s around heroes reborn when she was dealing with alcoholism they called it that. I've been reading comics for 40 years and have read thousands, so forgive me if I can't recall exactly.

LOL; her cheeks haven't been this red since she was going by the name of Binary. 😆 Also, Isn't THIS - https://marvel2000.fandom.com/wiki/Warbird_(Carol_Danvers)?file=Warbird.jpg - Carol's Warbird costume? I've always know the costume she's wearing in this pic as her second Ms. Marvel costume ( as opposed to her modern-day CAPTAIN Marvel costume). Don't get me wrong, I prefer this costume above all of her other ones, but naming it her Warbird costume is throwing me off, since I can't remember her being called by that code-name in this costume ( and I'm not saying it didn't happen, I just don't remember it happening.)
