A little research into Oluvsgadgets and you find the answer to who the first ones were.

Oluv asked who the first ones were with that clip design. I didn't want to give a spoiler alert answer - where's the fun in that? But I did want to say that whoever the employee was who originally designed it for that company got a raw deal.

First ones?

The Anker has sibiling trebles it shows some scratching SSSS (listened from Anker Q30 with Oluv EQ). I prefer the Tribit where highs are boosted but I find them more natural. Of course I would prefer a flatter response in the highs, Hopefully next FW upgrade will show its full potential. Oluv, did you say that the MEGA is a MONO speaker?

I still have the first ones' version, it's better than I remembered but neither the first nor the second are perfect. We'll have to wait for the Oluv Edition if we want perfection.

Maybe the first ones will have the decency to make public the name of the guy who designed it, or even compensate him. The Tribit was a blatant ripoff - I felt guilty buying that speaker at the time, and I still do. If the design was work for hire it's unlikely the first ones will ever sue, or international law being what it is, unlikely in any case. That was an absolutely brilliant design. Life can be unfair, and often is.

Wow tribit done well on the bass . Wonder why this was not produced in the first place. Just needs a tweak to give it a sprinkle of treble clarity but in impressed. I really hope they can do a stormbox stereo double sized in the storm box micro style in the future... i feel its the only bike speaker i will ever get as i like the handlebar clip hold style.
