Status of the 5th BETA

I said on the previous post I would give more details for the 5th Beta.
This is what is done:
-Quit to main menu buttons in the game. No need to close and open the file again.
-Now you can access the extra section from the map navigation screen.
-Some images were too large, some people complained about the freezing or jumping in some sections. I replaced for smaller versions, but keeping the same visual quality.
-Most of the first act now have some mini-quests in the events. You have the options to accept or not. In these mini-quests you will find the FMG reports and BIO sheets, so, it would be good for you to do them. And it increases more depth to the story.
-I reworked some animations of the first act.
And this is what I am doing or what I will do:
-A new "how to play" section
-The mini-quest for Masara. I didn't figure out that yet. She doesn't need anything at all. I am still thinking about it.
-Inserting and coding the main graphics for ACT 2 Lima.
-Inserting and coding the main graphics for ACT 2 Mack.
-Inserting and coding the main graphics for ACT 2 Bali.
-Lima's BIO sheet
I wanted to add a FMG report on this Beta, but i am still designing the details. I came with two versions.

It would work as the events, but without the presence of Shepherd, just the girls and the doctor Chakalaka. This would like a chapter 0. Every girl would have her own report. We'll have new graphics for their normal look, but I plan to use the heads and faces from the first act. As for the growth part, We would have an animated sequence, nothing too extreme since this is just the beginning.

The FMG report would be narrated as a report(duh) written by Dr. Chakalaka. She would describes with details the growth of the girls as the days passes, with measures and procedures(tests, strength exercises, weight lifting). And instead animations, we would have photo files( still images) of these events showing the changes.
The second design requires more text and preparation but i believe it would be the most "complete" experience. The first design would be shorter and simple, but more graphical. Which one do you prefer?

2016-03-02 23:40:13 +0000 UTCI'd say #2. Seeing animations of the girls starting to grow would be nice, but the "Doctor's Log" approach of the #2 matches really well the sci-fi background of the game.

I think going for a diary documentary style film experience maybe combining elements from both would be good I'm thinking most of idea #2 but with animation, like a strength test which then create some muscle growth. But its up to you.

2016-03-02 18:57:32 +0000 UTCHmm.. indeed, its a pretty good idea. But we have one problem, these reports aren't meant to Shepherd. They are hidden, the mini-quests were made for that. And the Bio files will contain informations as measures and physical details. One for each muscle level, this means each character will have 3 BIO files. The reports will describe the initial growth and physical and mental changes as the time passes. That's why you will find them in the second act. And yes, all gals will give a mini-quest to Shepherd. Every event of the first and second act will have one.

Option #1 would be great because we'd get to see the initial muscle growth in animated form, which needless to say would be really awesome. But I also really like the idea of having pictures of the girls lifting weights and doing strength excercises in option #2. Both ideas have their own really great benefits, and the only bad part about either of them is that picking one would mean *not* picking the other! :p But that also means that either one will be great, so I too would be happy either way. EDIT: And oh yeah, Samara's quest. Perhaps something to help her meditate, after she almost loses control in her act 1 scene? I've got no idea what that might be, but she certainly likes to meditate in the game, anyway. Candles, maybe? It's certainly not the easiest quest to figure out. :p

Speaking of FMG reports, I would personally prefer a combination of personal-logs of each individual girl, describing the details of their growth, mixed with commentary and measures/procedures by the Dr. Chakalakas, mixed with like a chart that compares the progression. And with these reports being sent for Shepherd to "overview', but with lite flirting undertones. It's more of your second choice, but slightly different. Will all gals get their own mini-quest though? :C
