In the OG lore Grayskull has a different meaning, the First Ones were different beings and then there is Eternia which is the planet He-Man and She-Ra come from. In this version, it's stated that the First Ones aren't actually called that by most of the universe. They are actually Eternians, though in this version they're generally much more villainous as they stole magic from other planets and created the weapon. From my understanding Nate Stevenson wanted to keep this show largely separate from He-Man lore...and there's also the fact that He-Man and She-Ra copyright stuff is a huge mess.

Melog actually reflects Catra's emotions, so that could be fun to pay attention to. :) Since you were talking about Horde Prime being a freak, he does also repeatedly touch other people's chins and shoulders and stuff in a way that makes them very uncomfortable and it indicates he does not care about personal space in the slightest. Though it can be a bit hard to tell if he's intentionally trying to intimidate people or just genuinely thinks he's above all that. He's the type of cult leader who believes his own bullshit. The AI they talked to wasn't Light Hope. Light Hope was erased at the end of the last season. There are some other AI that resemble her, but they are much less advanced and don't seem sentient like her.
