The Saga of the Paperbacks

One of the big events in Authorland this year was the closure of Createspace, which was typically where indies published their paperbacks. It was replaced by an Amazon KDP paperback publishing system integrated with the ebook platform we all use and are familiar with. This is good in some ways, but they replaced Createspace's human-supervised system with an automated system that sucks hairy donkey ass.
There are no longer any human beings looking at files. It's basically now an automated call center for books, and the robot is a work in progress.
What this boiled down to was that the files that worked for Createspace could not be edited and then reuploaded to Amazon no matter how hard I tried. In the end, I had to completely reformat the books, and I had to give up much of the internal typography. There was one font in particular that it hated.
The auto-system would also only flag one problem at a time. So if there were any instances of the font it didn't like, it would flag them one at a time with each new upload attempt.
However, the problem has been resolved and the books have been ordered. Those of you waiting on signed paperbacks will get them ASAP <3

I'm sorry to hear they removed the human element of the system and that it has caused you so much trouble. I know you mentioned on stream that you were having issues but i hadn't realized they removed the human element of the support system completely. I'm glad in the end you were able to find a solution even if you weren't able to use the font you wanted.
