Updates!
Added 2019-03-26 02:49:38 +0000 UTCHi everyone - updates on KC are paused while I edit and work up the next batch of chapters. That shouldn't take too long to do - I will resume posting later in the week.
Last night was kind of scary. I was just finishing up writing a key boss-fight scene, complete with an ongoing tally of HP/abilities/etc, and was literally clicking the Save icon when my computer shut down due to a power surge.
Open the computer back up, and the file is hopelessly corrupted. No cache files, all autosaves corrupted, no way to save it from the backend. 6 hours of work gone.
Fortunately, at about the 2/3rds mark, I had taken a break to play a game, and Dropbox backed it up at that point in time. I was able to restore most of the document from that backup by going onto their website and looking through the files there.

Ouch!!! That is heart attack inducing for any creative person. To have so much work poof. Thankfully dropbox came to the rescue, mostly.
