Who Made Paradise?

Last time I had no guests, so to make up for it, this time I have five!

In this episode I talk to five people who made paradise possible in Paradise Killer, a recently released open-world murder mystery game from Kaizen GameWorks. Creative director Oli, technical director Phil, sound summoner Barry, artist Gigalithic and quality assurance tester Guy.

It was a lot of fun putting this mini-making-of together, and I'm quite proud of it, so I hope you all enjoy it! I must also extend a huge thank you to my guests for giving me their time during what must have been a very hectic week. (Each interview was recorded within four days of the game being launched.)

Goal for the next podcast: 10 guests.

I just want to say that it's nice to hear Barry and Guy again - I hadn't realised how long it's been since I last heard them - time just flies. Also Owen - are you afraid that this interview is just another step on the path towards the muck that is game journalism?

Really nicely put together, enjoyed you managing to cover many areas of the development without anything feeling rushed (and just over an hour no less!!!) I bought PK around a week ago and this is all the more motivation to get fired into it soon.

I love how the podcast can go from lying on a workout matt in the holodeck with your pants around your ankles asking the computer to rip the piss out of you, to trapping a english teacher who spent his time in communist china in a time loop to interviewing movie makers and game developers, I'm overcome with a weird sense of pride that our resident 2 good boys Barry & Guy have gotten these bangin tunes out there in a fully functioning game that all these wonderfull boys have worked hard to make. Proud to be a rusty crow since the first broken audio episodes. Well done Owen. I hope listening to this rubbish will pay off for all of us one day.

Hearing about the event triggers being difficult to implement really makes me appreciate how seamlessly the conversations and evidence gathering flowed when I played it. Liked this format a lot you're great at interviewing.

Can you get all 10 guests on a single Skype call for the next podcast? I can already imagine the infinite chain of people interrupting and talking over each other. Soothing... πŸ€€πŸ’€
