2021-08-23 20:10:22 +0000 UTCJust finished the reaction. "Wow, I'm just in awe." Yep!!! Eva is just breathtaking. The first time I ever heard her she literally stopped me in my tracks. I was completely mesmerized by the beauty of her voice and the emotion in it that was so palpable. Yes, THANK GOD someone recorded this performance at Blues Alley in January of 1996 with a camcorder. What a fantastic representation of her genius and what an incredible shame it would be if this had not been captured for all time and able to be shared with the world. This entire performance was something like 31 songs but Eva self-released a dozen or so songs on CD in May of 1996, about 5 months after the performance. It was the last album she recorded before her untimely death in November of that same year.
