After arriving in another multiverse, Scarlet Witch and Ms. Marvel found themselves wearing babyish clothes. Some force had began to effect them, causing them to behave more and more like infants. Their grown-up thoughts finally drained away as they fully integrated into their new reality.
Before completely regressing, Scarlet Witch attempted to return her and Ms. Marvel back to their home Earth - but instead they found themselves playing in a nursery with two other heroines in a place called 'the Fortress of Solitude'.
Although she didn't know it, her spell didn't completely fail. While it did take them to their new home, it also managed to merge their native reality with this one. Now the marvels of their world were finding themselves in a similar padded situation.
