2023-12-24 02:29:30 +0000 UTCYou should absolutely react to Euphoria, but be warned: itโs even more traumatizing than Fellow Travelers! ๐ญ๐ Easily my favorite film of 2023. Emerald mothered real hard with this one. Sheโs stated in many interviews that Oliverโs โgiftโ is using his sexuality to get what he wants from people. The irony is that he likely didnโt kill Farleigh because he respected him and knew that Farleigh was the only person who could see right through him bc they were playing the same game. They also had great sexual chemistry. Emerald said they shouldโve become boyfriends and shared Saltburn, and I agree! ๐ I also love that the violence and sex were both implied. We didnโt have to see full nudity understand what was happening, and when we did, it wasnโt about sex at all. The film is largely about desire, so the voyeuristic approach to filming really nailed it for me.
