Chapter 82: Kree Empire 3

Perspective: Sanguinius

The vast expanse of space stretched before the Judgement’s Light, Sanguinius’ battle barge, as the planet Ilgar-6 loomed ahead. The forge world was a dark reflection of its purpose, a manufacturing behemoth where the Kree’s most destructive weapons were birthed from the fires of industry. It was a world forged in the name of war, but it would soon meet its end.

Sanguinius stood tall on the bridge, his golden armor gleaming, eyes fixed on the planet below. His thoughts were focused on the task ahead, an aerial assault. This was his preferred style of warfare: fast, decisive, and overwhelming. The Kree had fortified their world well, but there was no defense against the speed and precision of the Blood Angels.

“Commander,” the voice of Captain Seth rang through the comms, breaking the quiet hum of the bridge. “We’re ready for deployment.”

“Launch,” Sanguinius replied simply, his voice calm but filled with the weight of responsibility.

The moment the words left his lips, the hangar doors opened, and a flurry of assault craft and drop pods rocketed toward Ilgar-6. The Blood Angels were among them, prepared to strike swiftly and with devastating force.

The cold silence of space was shattered by the roar of engines as the drop pods plummeted toward the planet's surface. Sanguinius’ eyes, ever sharp, saw the battlefield ahead with perfect clarity. His golden wings, though not yet fully accustomed to the weight of his armor, unfurled with effortless grace as he joined the descent, his form a shining beacon in the void.

The Blood Angels, their combat-ready forms glinting in the light of distant stars, followed closely behind. Sanguinius’ presence was a rallying point, a symbol of hope and power. They landed with thunderous force, the shockwaves of impact rolling through the ground beneath them. The moment the doors of their drop pods opened, they were already in motion, bolters raised, swords drawn.

Sanguinius’ wings beat powerfully, propelling him into the air. He soared above the chaos of battle, his sword Gloriana flashing in his grip as he led his sons into the heart of the Kree defenses.

“Charge!” His voice rang out, carrying over the battle. It was a command that left no room for hesitation. The Blood Angels surged forward, their bolters unleashing torrents of fire upon the Kree soldiers.

The Kree responded with overwhelming force, biomechanical soldiers advanced with deadly precision, their weapons crackling with alien energy. But the Blood Angels were faster, and far more disciplined. Their advanced training and superior tactics allowed them to outmaneuver the Kree at every turn.

Sanguinius was a blur of motion. His blade cut through the Kree ranks with effortless precision. He was a warrior born for this moment, graceful, powerful, and relentless. He weaved through the battlefield, his wings beating as he dove in and out of combat.

His strikes were flawless, each one landing with surgical precision, cleaving through the Kree soldiers with ease. His warriors followed his lead, their movements a reflection of his own, quick, brutal, and efficient. The Kree, though formidable, could not stand against the onslaught. The Blood Angels’ speed overwhelmed them.

Sanguinius landed amidst the chaos, his wings folding behind him as he surveyed the battlefield. His sons fought with the same ferocity and skill he displayed. They were still young, but their potential was limitless. Today, they would prove themselves on this world of metal and fire.

Sanguinius’ presence was a beacon of inspiration. His warriors fought with renewed vigor, knowing they were following a leader who was both a father and a commander. Their bolter fire cut down Kree at every turn, while their swords severed limbs and split armor.

Sanguinius was everywhere, at the front, leading his sons in combat, his form flashing between enemies. His sword cleaved through enemy after enemy, the Kree soldiers unable to keep up with his speed. His wings, massive and powerful, gave him an advantage in the battle, allowing him to strike from angles the Kree never expected.

One of the Kree commanders appeared, a massive figure towering over his soldiers. The creature’s presence exuded strength, but it was nothing compared to the power Sanguinius carried. With a single movement, Sanguinius propelled himself forward, his sword arcing through the air with deadly precision. The Kree commander raised his weapon to block, but Sanguinius was too fast.

In a flash, the commander’s head was separated from his body, and his troops faltered. The Blood Angels capitalized on the opportunity, pushing forward with relentless force. The Kree soldiers began to retreat, their will breaking under the pressure of the assault.

The Blood Angels did not give them an inch. They pressed forward, cutting down the last of the Kree resistance. As the final command center was secured, Sanguinius stood in the heart of the battlefield, his wings folded behind him, his golden armor gleaming against the scorched earth.

“We have won this day,” Sanguinius said, his voice steady. He turned to Captain Seth, who approached with his warriors.

“Victory is ours, my lord,” Seth replied, his voice filled with pride.

But Sanguinius said nothing more, for his thoughts were already turning to the next move. The Kree might have been defeated on this world, but the war was far from over. And the Blood Angels would be ready.
