Devlog 07.01.25

First of all, I wish you a Happy New Year, may everything you have planned come true. I hope you had a great holidays.

Daddy's Mansion:

Now, as for all of this... no excuses, I couldn't get Daddy's Mansion done for a month. The problem is that I can't do the same project for very long and I want to release a fully finished version of Daddy's Mansion that won't require a sequel or another version. And yeah, I was taking a little break from game development. So I'm not ready to release what I've done so far and I need a break from this project - I don't want to release it unfinished.


God of Temptation:

In return, I have also started making the long awaited remake of God of Temptation, which will be a complete remake. Just like Daddy's Mansion I want to do a minimum of updates for it. Ideally it's only two versions, which means two updates.

So what's coming out in the end?

Daddy's Mansion is put on slow development until it's fully done, up to version 1.0. Right now the full focus is on the God of Temptation remake. I want to make it the best quality game I can make, in multiple aspects. Another main problem, as I said before, is that I sometimes can't concentrate on one project. I start doing a project, then I get bored with it and do another one. I'm being honest with you guys. Right now I'm on fire for a God of Temptation remake.

So here's the deal, maybe you have some recommendations or suggestions for the remake, so far I've been spending a lot of time on characters and their details (what I like to do the most).

I thank you for your support and for being with me. The decision was made to release the GOT remake first for epic tear, then rare and then follower. Thank you for your understanding.

I don't quite understand what you were trying to say, but for that scenes I turned almost max settings that I could, and it took me 30-40 mins to render. So in a complex scene, when I will optimize it it will take around 1 hour. But I'm not planning to do dialogue-like scenes, that will be too long. I will do as I did in my previous games with character sprites and the background. That will decrease dev time and will achieve desired result. But there may be exceptions

I have a question, how long does it take to put a model in a scene or switch an asset into something you finished? Asking since I was thinking about a simple “nude mode/filter” but I want to make sure how long that would take up for development time.
