I agree that the love triangle gets worse in season 2, I liked it better in the first season. Season 2 is overall the weakest for me, even-though it has a few of the best episodes

2018-07-12 09:51:03 +0000 UTCLol the love story is one of the worst parts of this whole series. And people will try to defend Korra here all the time. She DID use Bolin and when she kissed Mako during him trying to explain how he was very confused people get mad at MAKO. People try to say oh Mako didn't stop her but that's the writers fault. Which by the way in ATLA a very similar situation happened with Aang forcing a kiss but they had Katara stop him and say she just said she was confused. To make Korra look better they didnt have that happen.

2018-07-11 21:31:42 +0000 UTCWell this was probably targeted a lot on tweens and teens. Korra is about 16 in the first season so it's very likely to have all that love crap. I was about 17 when the series came out so Ioved it. Also, yes, they are biological brothers (don't look it up, you might find spoilers) But I encourage you to read the comics taking place after The last airbender to better understand.
