Korra's a very sheltered Avatar. The thing that Aang has over Korra is the fact that Aang went out and learned the elements by actual masters in the field, while also understanding the source of power these elements came from. Korra was cooped up south with the white lotus and taught fighting forms all of her life. She's an objectively better martial artist than Aang, however is arguably a weaker bender because of it.
2018-08-18 07:29:36 +0000 UTCFans were pretty split in terms of the ending, btw. I remember that pairing in particular was getting A LOT of support in the episodes leading up to the finale and I was shocked, but pleasantly surprised that they actually did it.
