Guys I need your help!! (Attack on Titan related)

Can somebody who’s read the manga take a look at this article and tell me more if it would really ruin the anime experience if we go to this thing?
I’m currently up-to-date on the anime of what’s in the basement but other than that I just need to know does it go much further than that.?

If you have watched today's episode, then I think it's at least safe to read the article imo. Also a relatively minor character is mentioned by name, but very little context is given, so it's alright.
