STRANGER THINGS Season 4 Episode 2 REACTION (Full/Early) - VIP

Comments

I’m totally against violence, and sure, Eleven could’ve handled the situation differently (it’s not like Angela didn’t have it coming though). But I won’t lie… when she snapped, I was screaming with joy! 😂 Sadly, that’s how it often goes, people get bullied until they finally explode, and the consequences are awful. I still can’t believe everyone just stood by and watched all the crap El went through without doing anything. And then there’s Vecna, absolutely terrifying. The way he operates is even worse. At this point in the series, my main question was: How do you fight and win against something that attacks you in your mind, where there’s literally no way to escape? Buckle up, because the next episodes are insane, especially episode 4.

Totally agree, this has been a sad watch for El's character so far we just want to jump in there and protect her!

As far as Eddie's uncle not being detained by police, I definitely see where you're coming from. I just assume that the probably called his place of employment and checked his alibi. If he was at his job at the plant before the basketball game was over and didn't randomly leave in the middle of it he could be cleared pretty easily. Also, the police were still there, so it's not like he's totally out of their sight or anything. The El storyline breaks my heart. While her hitting Angela with the skate was 100% wrong, I don't think the blame can all be laid at her feet. Her entire life, she *was* her superpowers. All of the value that was placed on her by Brenner and the other people at the lab was due to her abilities. She was a thing. A weapon. When she finally got out and met the boys, they also valued her for her powers. True, they also care about her as a person, but it would be disingenuous to act like her powers didn't play a part in the equation. So now here she is. She's lost Hopper, she's had to move to a completely new place, and she's in school for the first time ever as a freshman in high school. That is brutal. Then on top of that, she's lost her powers, the thing that has defined her up to this point. She's never been taught how to cope with stress or anger or humiliation, so the fact that it manifests in the way it does at the skate rink feels totally believable to me. Actually, the person who I always find myself wanting to hit in the face with a skate is the grown-ass adult working at the rink-o-mania who is helping a bunch of shitty high schoolers bully their classmate. Wild. Can't wait to see the upcoming reactions!
