2023-03-22 07:52:16 +0000 UTCCourage is one of those shows that isn’t considered a masterwork like Avatar, but it’s got really solid comedy chops. It feels very much like a throwback to the classic Merry Melodies cartoons, with the added macabre elements that in retrospect were really out there. There are moments, though, where it transcends the Loony Tunes vibe and becomes surrealist art. There’s an episode in the second season called “Human Habitrail” and there is a chase scene that feels like it was directed by John Woo and edited by Ray Lovejoy.
