2023-03-28 17:30:32 +0000 UTCOf all the aspects of lore in the show, perhaps my favorite is the backstory of each of the Crystal Gems and these were two episodes that really add a lot to those stories. That second episode does so many things all at once, so well. Amethyst backstory, Gem history, and insight into the animosity between Pearl and Amethyst. I was shook the first time I saw it and it still holds up as one of the best, most moving episodes (especially of season 1)
